Yes, vinyl flooring is a great way to achieve the look of hardwood floors at a fraction of the cost. It's water-resistant, scratch-resistant, durable, low maintenance and easy to install, and it looks nearly identical to real hardwood. That makes vinyl flooring a smart choice for busy households that want a wood look with less upkeep. If you prefer genuine wood, we carry affordable and premium hardwood options too, and we can provide estimates for both so you can compare costs side by side.

Consider the finish, grain and plank width that fit your home and lifestyle, and plan your budget before you start. Our guide to engineered wood flooring vs. hardwood can also help you weigh your options.

Yes, Liddiard Flooring is able to move furniture, prepare the floor and remove old flooring, if needed. That helps make your project seamless, and we back our flooring with top-notch service from start to end. Your free in-home estimate is a good time to talk through what your project needs, so your plan accounts for preparation as well as materials. Our flooring installation checklist can also help you get your home ready for new floors.

Your flooring installation cost depends on the materials you choose, who does the work, the rooms involved and your square footage. Carpet is almost always cheaper to install than hardwood, and vinyl is more affordable than hardwood and comparable to carpet. Start by multiplying the cost per square foot by the square footage you need to cover, then factor in labor. Our flooring installation cost guide walks through each factor, and a free in-home estimate gives you a budget built around your home.
